art / fh d free coursework at the radiolarians are amoeboid protozoa that produce intricate mineral skeletons, typically with a central capsule dividing the single cell into inner and outer portions. radiolarians are so tiny, that scientists all over the world can take only one picture at one time of one of them from one side. this is why i built a model of a fictitious radiolarian, made of plastic rings (inside) and paraffin (surface), to take a picture of it from the front and from behind.
